Amy Josephson has been named the next Riverdale girls head basketball coach. Principal Ryan Nance made the announcement Monday.

Josephson has spent the last two seasons at Moore County, leading them to the state tournament last year.

Middle Tennessee Christian School has announced Courtney Pragel as it's new Head Coach in Varsity Cross Country.

Pragel will be joining the MTCS faculty with 10 years of teaching experience.

The season for Siegel and Stewarts Creek baseball teams comes to a close with losses on Wednesday. Siegel, after winning the morning contest 4-2 over Science Hill, lost a 3-2 decision to Collierville to end the season.

Stewarts Creek won a pitchers dual with Arlington, claiming a 2-1 win in their opening game of the TSSAA Class AAA Baseball State Tournament.

Jacob Hamblen surrendered one run on six hits over six innings for the Red Hawks, striking out seven and walking one.

Rossview put up runs in every inning but the first and defeat Siegel 13-3 in the Stars opening game of the TSSAA Class AAA Baseball Tournament.

The bright spot in the game was a solo homer by Drew Benefield in the 5th inning:
