Oakland's quest to defend their 2018 state championship fell short at Maryville in a 12-0 loss.

As usual, the games between these two schools are close and hard hitting. This game was no exception.

Oakland scored 31-unanswered enroute to a 31-14 win over Blackman and will play at Maryville next Friday for a spot in the state championship game.

Blackman senior linebacker and MTCS running back Kemari McGowan were each named on of the three finalists in their respective classifications.
