It was a tale of two halves for the Siegel Stars versus the Ravenwood Raptors Thursday night to open the prep football season in Rutherford County. Tailback Rodney Murray ran for 160 of his 170 yards in the first half as the Stars took a 12-7 lead into halftime.

Despite losing some outstanding skill players, Siegel's offense looked sharp from the outset last Friday night in a 17-7 win over Summit over in the Rutherford County Jamboree.

Oakland football standout JaCoby Stevens made his college selection known. Monday, he announced he's committed to LSU. He originally committed to the Tigers in September but just two months later pulled his commitment after questions about whether Coach Les Miles would be retained.
