  1. Auditor’s Report of the 2017-18 School Year
    If available, we will provide copies of the official audit for the 2017-2018 school year to the Board of Control, along with a complete review of the auditor’s report. We will provide this information in our next meeting if the auditor has not completed the report.
  2. 2018-19 TSSAA Budget
    If our audit has been completed, a proposed budget for the 2017-2018 school year will be provided.

  13. Lakeway Christian Academy
    Lakeway Christian Academy submitted a request to withdraw its 2018-19 membership and rejoin TSSAA beginning with the 2019-20 school year without having to serve as an affiliate member for one year.
  14. Austin-East Magnet High School Appeals Sanctions Placed on Their Boys’ Baketball Program
    On February 8, 2018, the Board of Control heard an appeal from Austin-East Magnet High School. The members of the Board upheld the original disciplinary action with the understanding that Austin-East had put in place 12 sportsmanship initiatives that they would be working on as a community. The Board voted that they would entertain a second appeal by the school once significant progress had been made with the 12 sportsmanship initiatives. The administration of Austin-East Magnet High School will be present to report on their progress and once again appeal the sanctions placed on their boys’ basketball program.
  15. Brainerd High School Appeals Sanctions Placed on Their Boys’ Basketball Program
    On February 8, 2018, the Board of Control heard an appeal from Austin-East Magnet High School. The members of the Board upheld the original disciplinary action with the understanding that Austin-East had put in place 12 sportsmanship initiatives that they would be working on as a community.   16. 2018-19 Volleyball State Tournament Dates
    We have been notified by MTSU that they cannot host our state championships on Ocotber 17-19.  They have a football game on Saturday, October 20, and it is Homecoming Week.  As a result, the championship dates have been set for October 16-18.
  17. Mr. Football Awards & BlueCross Bowl Meeting Changes
    There will be changes in regards to the date and schedule for this year’s Mr. Football Awards and the meeting with teams that advance to the BlueCross Bowl.  The staff will explain the details to the Board.
  18. Gary Hardin Academy Requests TSSAA Membership
    Gary Hardin Academy is an alternate placement school under the jurisdiction of Sevier County Schools. They are requesting membership for the 2018-2019 school year in order to co-op with Sevier County High School.
  19. Official Appeals Suspension of Registration
  20. Rockvale High School Requests TSSAA Membership
    Rockvale High School is scheduled to open at the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. It is under the Rutherford County School System. Their anticipated enrollment is 1500 students in grades 9-12. They plan to offer all sports sanctioned by our organization. If approved, Rockvale High School will be placed in Division I, Class 5A, Region 5 in football, Class AAA, Region 4, District 7 in basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, golf, tennis, and bowling, Region 4 Large in cross country, Section 2 Large in track and field, and Class AAA, Region 5 in Wrestling.
