  3. Approved the Financial Report of the 2018 Boys’ and Girls’ State Golf Tournaments
  4. Approved the Financial Report of the 2018 Girls’ Volleyball Tournaments
  5. Approved the Financial Report of the 2018 Girls’ Soccer Tournaments
  6. Approved the Financial Report of the 2018 State Cross Country Meet
  7. Approved the Financial Report of the 2018 Cheer and Dance Competition
  8. Approved the Financial Report of the 2018 Football Playoffs
  9. Approved the 2019-20 & 2020-21 TSSAA Calendars
  10. The Board voted to instruct the state office to make the draw for the regional and state tennis tournaments
  11. The Board reviewed the action of the Legislative Council meeting held on December 11, 2018.
  1. The Board was provided an update regarding the Tennessee Sports Medicine Advisory Committee.  Discussed Football Spring Practice Regulations that have been recommended by the Tennessee Football Coaches Association and new NFHS ACL Injury Prevention Course
  2. Voted to tale the request by John Overton High School to remove the two-year restrictive probation that was placed on its football program on November 1, 2018 due to the incident that occurred between John Overton High School and Antioch High School during their football contest on October 26, 2018.  After sportsmanship initiatives and other items presented by the school to the Board are active and in place, the school can request to appear again before the Board at the June meeting to request for restrictive probation to be removed.
  3. Voted to tale the request by Antioch High School to remove the two-year restrictive probation that was placed on its football program on November 1, 2018 due to the incident that occurred between John Overton High School and Antioch High School during their football contest on October 26, 2018.  After sportsmanship initiatives and other items presented by the school to the Board are active and in place, the school can request to appear again before the Board at the June meeting to request for restrictive probation to be removed.
  4. Voted to approve the state office to replace equipment for its Wrestling Weight Management Program.  Schools that wrestle will now be required to pay their own membership for the NWCA in order to help offset the costs of purchasing the new equipment, and will revisit after two years.
  5. Approved Knoxville Christian School’s request to play TSSAA member schools beginning with the 2019-20 school year.
  6. Approved Ezell-Harding Christian School’s request to be allowed to continue to play in the basketball postseason after informing the TSSAA of their intention to play 8-man football beginning next season (2019).  Board policy states that after football schedules are set, that if a school drops out of the football playoffs, they cannot be eligible for the basketball postseason.
  7. Had a discussion regarding possible scheduling conflict for the Girls’ Basketball Tournament due to MTSU and their potential conference schedule, which will be set in mid-February.
  8. Denied the request from Riverdale High School for a reduction in fine in regards to an ineligible player violation in Boys’ Bowling.
  9. Approved the request from Riverside Academy of TSSAA/TMSAA membership.
    Riverside Academy is a K-12 public school in Cheatham County.  Current enrollment in grades 9-12 is 20 students and grades 5-8 is 11 students.  The school is joining the association to give their students the opportunity to co-op in all sports with other member high schools and middle schools.
