Procedure for the hotel draw

Per TSSAA, there will be a hotel draw for assigning hotels, for both the girls’ and boys’ teams that will compete in the state championships.  Participating team coaches will draw for their hotel assignments immediately following the draw for the tournament brackets at the basketball team meetings, which will be held as follows:

Girls’ Team Meeting:  Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.

Representatives from each hotel property will be seated at tables located outside of the meeting room to assist teams with lodging arrangements.  Teams will be asked for pertinent information such as a credit card number, guest names, phone numbers, arrival time, etc.

All team reservations must be made through the CVB.  Please do not attempt to make reservations for your teams directly through the hotels.  Doing so could jeopardize your room assignments.  If the parents/cheerleaders/spectators traveling with your team have difficulty finding rooms, please have them contact Donna Klempnow at (615) 278-2014 or This email address is being protected from spambots. “Adopt a Team” and Team Bags

As in past years, the Rutherford County Convention & Visitors Bureau is sponsoring an “Adopt a Team” program.  This program matches a community leader with a team.  The adopter will be available should his/her team need questions answered, directions or help of any kind.  The adopters will be given their adopted team’s name and will contact them before the tournament begins.

Each team will pick up a bag of information at the hotel draw.  This bag will include the name and telephone number of contacts at the Convention & Visitors Bureau who will have a list of all team adopters.   Please feel free to call on this person should you have any questions. Your team adopter will contact you prior to the tournament. Of course, should a team have any difficulties and cannot reach their adopter, they are encouraged to call the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce at (615) 893-6565 or (800) 716-7560.   The Chamber of Commerce is located at 3050 Medical Center Parkway, Murfreesboro, TN 37129
