Blackman senior and Connecticut signee Crystal Dangerfield adds another award to the list of honors.

Blackman's Crystal Dangerfield added another accolade to her already long list. She was named the Class Triple-A Miss Basketball for the second year in a row, following three years as a finalist.

Blackman weathered an impressive storm and 3-point onslaught by Lawrence County on Thursday night to capture the Region 4-AAA championship 58-52 before a rowdy crowd.

The Blaze will face Bradley Central Monday night at 7 at home in a Sectional game for the right to advance to the TSSAA State Tournament.

Blackman senior Crystal Dangerfield's 3-pointer 30 seconds into the game essentially ended it -- and Franklin County's season -- on Friday night.

Siegel boys basketball coach Ben Dotson has resigned. His resignation was announced to his team on Tuesday, just six days after his team's last game of the season. He plans to stay at the school as a teacher.

The fifth head coach in Riverdale High School football history will be Will Kriesky. He's been an assistant there since 2009 and was the team's defensive coordinator last season. This is the first head coaching job for Kriesky, whose twin brother Matt was tabbed the new head coach at Centennial recently.
