Providence Christian Academy varsity boys and varsity girls basketball teams recently completed their season with Middle Tennessee Athletic Conference (MTAC) championship titles. Both teams also placed 5th in the recent National Association of Christian Athletes (NACA) national tournament held in Dayton, TN.

Blackman baseball and softball were the first Game of the Week recipients from DIRECTV by EnterSource, NewsRadio WGNS and the Murfreesboro Post.

The postseason awards continue to roll in for Blackman senior Crystal Dangerfield. She was named Thursday the Tennessee Girls Gatorade Player of the Year. It's the third year in a row she's been selected for the award, which is a first.

Riverdale fans were out in force for the Lady Warrior's quarterfinal win over Morristown West.

The Riverdale Lady Warriors were 12-of-17 or 71-percent from the three-point line. That was plenty of firepower to outgun Morristown West 70-55 in the quarterfinals of the TSSAA Blue Cross Basketball Championships.
