The Oakland Lady Patriots basketball team will be led by Blackman assistant Shelby Campbell. WGNS' Bryan Barrett has more:

Campbell was selected by Oakland principal John Marshall to succeed Jennifer Grandstaff, who retired after 28-years of coaching.

Campbell has been an assistant at Blackman the past two seasons. She was the starting point guard for the Lady Blaze, graduating in 2010. She went on to play college ball at Samford. Her first coaching stint was at the University of Alabama-Huntsville before becoming an assistant at Blackman.
